Felix M. Castillo was a top amateur Boxer, who represented
San Antonio and the United States in national and international competition. Felix M. Castillo was a member of the 1980 Olympic team; unfortunately the United States boycotted those Olympics, Felix M. Castillo was a hopeful for the Gold medal. Felix fought over 200 amateur fights. After his amateur career he fought as a professional winning 25 bouts with no losses and eighteen by knock out. Felix's run for a title was stopped because of a disease called lupus which almost ended his life. Castillo made a comeback winning his last three bouts before retiring from boxing. Felix dedicated his life to serving the Lord, his family and coaching at the family boxing gym. (Castillo Boxing Gym)
